MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Vacation Bible School will be held June 16-20 in cooperation with and at Second Presbyterian Church. More info will follow soon! THE FUTURE IS HERE! Since the addition of the second floor of the office-education wing in the late 1980's, an elevator has been needed. At last, it is being installed, with work beginning March 24 and ending in mid-July. All three floors will be accessible by all. The elevator will accommodate two persons plus a wheel chair, and will be located on the interior south wall of Fellowship Hall, the library (2nd) and the large room (lower level). The equipment room will be in the lower level. Loss of usable space and an increase in the number of children using the lower level brings the opportunity to rearrange walls; replace worn carpet & outdated paint; enhance lighting; address fire/safety issues; and upgrade safety & communication needs. Most of the elevator work is funded by monies designated by Presbyterian Women, a gift in memory of Bob Barcus; and a bequest from the estate of Jackie Martin. A fund drive to support the remaining work will `lift off` soon! The completion will do much to enhance our church's mission and ministry into the next 275 years! Information on giving to this project will be mailed, but inquiries can be made any time to the pastor or church office. Children through grade 3 may participate. Children attend worship with families until the 'Children's Time' in worship, after which children may go to Children's Church or remain with their families. There is no Children's Church on Communion Sundays so that children may participate in the sacrament.
